Humboldt County reported repair work along Airport Loop Road at the California Redwood Coast–Humboldt County Airport in McKinleyville during summer 2026. An official notice said the work began in late June and faced weather-related pauses, while flight operations were not affected at the time of the announcement.
Airport roads are important for travelers, employees and people accessing local businesses. Even when runways and flights remain operational, road construction can change vehicle routes, parking access or how early passengers should arrive.
The county’s summer notice is historical and should not be used as proof that a lane is closed today. Travelers should review current airport and county transportation advisories before heading to ACV and allow enough time for check-in, security and unexpected surface-road delays.
