Humboldt County began preparing an environmental impact report in 2026 for a proposed 40,290-square-foot package distribution facility at 3110 Boeing Avenue in McKinleyville’s Airport Business Park. The application covers six parcels and includes warehouse space and associated parking.
The environmental process examines potential consequences before the county makes decisions on required permits. County and state documents identify topics such as traffic, greenhouse gas emissions, biological resources and tribal cultural resources. An EIR preparation notice is not approval to build, and the project should not be presented as an operating facility.
Residents can review project materials through Humboldt County’s Planning and Building Department and the state environmental clearinghouse. Public input is most useful when tied to specific concerns such as truck routes, noise, lighting, air quality or nearby land uses.
